Our Courses: Making Waves in More Ways Than One
In our very first year offering mermaid courses, we expected the usual startup hurdles — but what we didn’t expect was the overwhelming response. Not a single course was canceled due to low interest. From our home base to destinations up and down the East Coast, students have shown up ready to dive in, and leave transformed. We even made waves at the world-famous MerMagic Con, where we were honored to teach the first-ever PADI Mermaid Certification courses at the largest mermaid convention in the world.
What makes our courses truly special isn’t just the technique, safety, or sparkle (though we offer all of that too) — it’s empowerment. Our CEO, Claire Tate, discovered mermaiding during a long recovery from a life-threatening injury. In the water, she found healing. Mermaiding helped her reconnect with her confidence, creativity, and sense of strength, overcoming deep social anxiety and self-doubt along the way. Today, she shares that journey with others, teaching not just how to swim like a mermaid — but how to believe in yourself like one.

We began our journey in 2017 with just one mermaid and a dream: to bring joy and enchantment to children’s lives. Since then, we’ve grown into a full team of talented, professional mer-performers, and we’re continuing to expand in exciting new ways—including tank shows and other large-scale events launching soon.

Every performer is skilled in safety, swimming, and working with children, ensuring that every interaction is not only enchanting but also secure and meaningful.
